16 Best Crowd Chants From WWE NXT Takeover: London

Stand up if you love Bayley!

WWE.comWWE.com

The crowd can often play an important part at a pro wrestling event.

Of course, there?s a fine line between adding to the overall spectacle and trying to hijack the show. And frankly anytime an audience feels the need to tell us that they are in fact the awesome ones is a dead giveaway that this fine line has been crossed.

But at NXT Takeover: London this week, we saw an awesome example of how a crowd can have a positive effect in creating the perfect atmosphere for performers to thrive in.

It wasn?t just the noise of the London audience that benefited the occasion though, it was the originality that they brought to proceedings. There was an obvious influence from British football, as well as British culture as a whole, as an energetic and enthusiastic crowd put their stamp on proceedings, but without overshadowing the in-ring action.

As a reminder of some of the moments that the London crowd provided at Wednesday?s Takeover special, this article looks back at the most creative and entertaining chants to feature throughout the night.

Note: This article features some spoilers for the December 23rd NXT Taping. You have been warned.

BritMums Food Round-up: A new start

foodie round-upHi, welcome to the re-launch of the BritMums Food Round-up. I?m very happy to be co-ordinating each month?s look at what has been going on in the BritMums? kitchens.

The weather has definitely turned more wintery over the past week. In our house, this signals warm & hearty meals ? We yearn for comforting and filling homemade soups, hotspots & casseroles topped off with pudding & crumbles with copious helpings of custard.

I?m running slightly late with my Christmas baking but am determined that the Christmas Cake fruit will be soaking merrily in port by the end of the week. Have you started any Christmas food preparation yet?

The linky is open below for you to share your kitchen creations over the next month. We are sticking with the comfort food theme. Feel free to add any autumn or winter recipe blog posts. We look forward to seeing your one-pot meals, warming soups, chillis etc ? and not forgetting your desserts of course!

Last date for entries is Saturday 5th December ? I?ll be back next month with a round-up of all the entries.

Until then, keep warm!

Quick Tissue Paper Puppets (Wise Men Craft)

Now, these GORGEOUS little Tissue Paper Puppets were made by a friend of mine in Austria! She made them especially for 3 Kings Day, so they make a wonderful Christmas Craft, but I thought they would also be great all year round ? as you can make any characters you like ? from Princesses to Knights! I only have photos of the finished craft, but I have information about each of the steps and took close up photos of some of the details to help explain the steps! I DO love it when my friends share their lovely craft ideas with you. So.. without further a do?

Easy Tissue Paper Puppets - perfect for 3 Kings Day at Christmas - or for Princesses and Knights

Tissue Paper Puppets Materials (per puppet)

  • 2 take away chop sticks (washed)
  • one pipecleaner (or wire)
  • one cork
  • 2 googly eyes (self adhesive, or get glue)
  • one large sheet of tissue paper
  • Smaller pieces of contrasting tissue paper
  • tape
  • small piece of ribbon or string
  • pen (details)
  • drawing pin (optional ? you can use glue instead)
  • Star stickers (optional, cut some out and stick them on)

TIPS ?  you can add wool for hair on a princess and add little cardboard crowns!

Tissue Paper Puppets How To

Chopstick Puppets - so easy to make

1. Start by sello taping the two chopsticks together to make one long stick. Add lots of tape! We saw these puppets a year after they were made and they were still in good nick. So it works. Just make sure you add lots of tape.

2. Pierce the cork on top of one of your chopsticks!

Tissue Paper Puppets - use pipecleaners for the arms

ARMS:

3. Now wrap a pipecleaner around the chopstick- about 3-4cm down from the head.  Twist it round ones ? secure with tape. Then make the ends of the pipe cleaner into loops.

4. Wrap some tissue paper around the loops and secure with tape.

CLOTHES:

5. Remove the cork head and now take a larg piece of tissue paper. Fold it in half and then have again. Unfold it ? and the cross in the creases will show you the centre.

6. Carefully pierce with the chopstick. Drape around the figure and scrunch around the pipecleaner and tie at the waist.

7. Add a ribbon to secure in place.

HEAD:

Easy Tissue Paper and Cork Puppets - how to add the turban

8. Now pop the head back in place.

9. Take a piece of tissue paper ? fold it, so you have a thicker and long piece and wrap it around the head (like you would a wet towel). Secure in place with a pin.

Vodka for breakfast (When recycling goes wrong)

image

When recycling goes wrong at 10am, a conversation with my five year old this morning?

?Mama what?s VOD-KA??
?It?s a special drink for grownups.?
?Like wine??
?Yes.?
?Why are you having VOD-KA for breakfast??
?I?m not.?
?You are.?
?I?m not. I made a smoothie and poured it in here so I could take it out with us because Mama keeps all her bottles to use again?? (gestures to place where bottles usually are to find it empty. Shit.)
?With VOD-KA?
?No.?
?Yes. VOD-KA.?
?NO. I?ll tell you what? I?ll pour it into a different bottle before we leave the house??

I await the conversation with his school teacher about how Mama has vodka for breakfast.

And the smoothie recipe is to follow ? I just thought this might make you laugh!

Jack.

Light Up Penguin Ornaments

Can you tell that we LOVE Christmas and all the wonderful Christmas Crafts that come with it?! Christmas and all the festivities surrounding it are a really wonderful way to get through those long gloomy winter months heading our way. We don?t need dark and deary, we need light and cheerful. So it is never ?to soon? to start Christmas Crafts ? especially, when they involve these darling little ?light up? penguins. Everything ?light up? is great in my eyes. Now we gave OUR penguins little Santa hats ? because we can.. but of course, you can do ?other bobble hats? or no hats at all and then you can keep these cute decorations up all through the long winter months, as they become more ?generic? Winter Crafts. Note, we did a SNOWMAN Ornament version last year, so do take a peak at him too!

WWE Spoiler: The Undertaker & Kane’s Survivor Series Match Is…

It is not the match that most people anticipated.

WWE.com WWE.com

The Undertaker and Kane will team up against two of the four members of The Wyatt Family at Survivor Series on November 22nd.

Taker & Kane vs two unnamed Wyatts (to be chosen by Bray) was announced at Tuesday?s Smackdown taping in Manchester, England.

At the start of the taping, The Wyatt Family made their entrance. There were brief promos from Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman talking about how they will destroy everybody in front of them.

Wyatt said that even though The Deadman has risen and The Demon has come back, they will never be the same. There were apparently a lot of chants in support of The Undertaker. Wyatt issued a challenge for Survivor Series with the Brothers of Destruction taking on two members of the Wyatt Family of Wyatt?s choosing. Wyatt ended the promo saying that in 25 years people will be celebrating the day that Bray buried the Deadman and Demon forever.

WWE.com WWE.com

If Wyatt is choosing the competitors, it will probably be him and Strowman since WWE wants Strowman to be a big star. However, WWE may want Undertaker and Kane to win, so in that case they may opt for Harper so that Strowman isn?t put in a losing situation.

There were rumours that the match would be a 4 on 2 situation with all four Wyatt Family members against the Brothers of Destruction, but that wouldn?t be fair. Some people thought that maybe WWE would find two faces to team with the Brothers of Destruction but nobody on the current roster really fits.

With this match becoming a regular tag team match, it?s possible that there may not be a traditional Survivor Series elimination match on the card.

10 Great Players Who Were Ruined By Newcastle United

Don?t underestimate the curse of St James? Park.

Raoul Dixon/epa/CorbisRaoul Dixon/epa/Corbis

Disclaimer. If you?re feeling angry about the introduction picture then please calm down. I have a perfectly good explanation so please delete your comment telling me to watch my back on the streets of Newcastle. Chill.

Newcastle United football club can be a wonderful place. It can also be a cauldron of hot-headed football-crazed Geordies who are ready to poke their judgemental blivets in your direction if you under perform. Often the Magpies nurture their players and care for them immensely until carefully releasing them into the big, bad (better paid) world of Champions League football, silverware and playing second fiddle to Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti.

A lot of players who have moved to Tyneside simply haven?t been good enough (*cough* Xisco) and therefore deserved their fair share of criticism. But, a select group of individuals who stepped onto the turf at St James? Park were perhaps let down by the club rather than the other way round. The topsy-turvy management, chairman and financial situations up north haven?t always made Newcastle United the best employers and a number of talented individuals have had their careers significantly tarnished since slipping into the famous black and white?
