2016 may be more than half-over, but it’s safe to say that a lot of the year’s biggest (and hopefully best) movies are still to come.
With a fleet of summer blockbusters still due to be released ahead of the impending Oscar season, there’s a lot to be excited about, but of course, as we all know, big movies often crumple under the weight of expectation.
The recent release of the Ghostbusters reboot shows just how much stock people put in Rotten Tomatoes scores, and it goes without saying that the critical reception to each of these coming movies will no doubt have a bearing on its audience response and eventual box office success (or lack thereof).
Everyone wants to be optimistic about these films, and yet at the same time, not all of them are going to live up to expectations. It’s time to consider what’ll hit and what won’t.
