Well, I do hope that you have all had a peaceful Happy Christmas, and are ready to raise your glass to a new year of home decorating projects!
This month on the Home and Design Round-up I wanted to look back on some of the amazing December posts that I spotted, and also look at some of my favourite Home and Design makeovers of the year.
First up is Kat with three table displays all for under £50, I was absolutely blown away with how beautiful, simple and elegant it all looked. In complete contrast is a equally beautiful but very colourful Christmas table from LittleBIGBELL. Pops of colour and lots of sparkle your thing? Well this will be perfect inspiration?adore!
I fell in love with these DIY origami fan wheels from Owl and Accordion, a great activity to make with children and decorate their room with I think. They look so great on the hooks, as well as to decorate gifts. Another DIY decoration but this time using fabric from the talented Curate & Display, I want those garlands festooned EVERYWHERE!
If you are a fan of Instagram you will have seen lots of people (especially bloggers) using cinema lightboxes, I must admit I love mine, its my new favourite thing. How about making your own though? Karen from Making Spaces cleverly shows you how.
These upcycled tree decorations using a empty tomato puree tube are such a sweet idea from Truly Madly Kids, why don?t you make some to put away for next year?
Wreaths and making guest welcome from the moment they see your home from Antonia and Tidy Away Today, left me feeling inspired about making an impression with my front door. As did this post from Old Fashioned Susie, oh her newly painted door looks absolutely amazing, I am so envious!
One of my favourite makeover projects I have been following this year, has been Jen from Love Chic Living and her loft conversion. Well Jen has been revealing all of the changes, including her youngest daughters new, much larger bedroom with a quirky goose feather light. Whilst Nadine from JuggleMum has been showcasing her teenage daughters bedroom makeover, especially a really innovative Day/Night blind that I?d not hear about before, very nifty!
I?ve been busy too, both of my daughters have had complete room makeovers and last month I got sent a sofabed for 48 hours, and had to take photographs of it styled up for guests this Christmas which was great fun.
So all that remains is to wish you all a very Happy New Year, and see you very soon, paintbrushes at the ready!
