Hello and welcome to the all new Blogging tips Round-up! I?m hoping you?ve had a great Christmas and managed to take a least a mini blogging break over the festive period ? I know that can be scary for some but it really does refresh your thoughts somewhat and helps to refocus if you are having bloggers block which happens to us all at some point in time.
For my first round-up I wanted to bring it back to the basics, the questions you may want answered when you first start blogging, the ones you wish you had known before you started and a few in between. You may have decided the New Year is your year to start a blog of your own and it really doesn?t have to be daunting.
So without further ado here are a few of my favourite posts for this month.
You?ll want to decide on your platform for your blog ? the main two being WordPress or Blogger, Cass brings you a guide to setting up a blog in 7 simple steps which talks through subjects from platforms, domains, host providers making it look pretty to social medial channels for your blog.
With a new year brings around new starts so you may be wanting to start your own linky from January or to join in with others. A linky is a lovely way of sharing your post and collecting posts from other bloggers on the same theme/subject so you can all find new blogs and read others. Kaye has a post on how to start a linky which is helpful for those of you wanting to start up your own or even for those of you who want to join in with other linkys.
This post is a great one to read which will explain Domain Authority, Do Follow and No Follow links ? these are the most asked questions in the bloggers groups and forums and something you really should know about.
Here is a post which helps explain Blogging Tribes, what they are and how they can be beneficial to sharing your posts once you?ve hit publish.
Lastly for this month is a post by Kerry on how to be an organised blogger ? this may be a new years resolution of yours and definitely something I personally need to work harder on.
Hopefully these have been helpful, if you have a question you would like answered or a topic you want to see covered within the Blogging Tips Round-up posts then do let me know and I will do my best to cover those next month. You can leave a comment here or tweet me @emmys_mummy.
